Ball lightning may be an atmospheric electrical phenomenon, the physical nature of which is still controversial. The term refers to reports of luminous, usually spherical objects which vary from pea-sized to several meters in diameter. It is sometimes associated with thunderstorms, but unlike lightning flashes, which last only a fraction of a second, ball lightning reportedly lasts many seconds.



Laboratory experiments have produced effects that are visually similar to reports of ball lightning, but it is presently unknown whether these are actually related to any naturally occurring phenomenon.

Air traffic controllers in Siberia claim they were buzzed by a high-speed UFO with a female sounding alien who spoke in an unintelligible cat-like language.

The mystery object suddenly burst onto flight monitors over the remote Russian diamond capital of Yakutsk.

It was shown flying at a speed of slightly over 6000 mph, and rapidly changing direction in the early morning sky, it is claimed.

The UFO was logged at a height of 64, 895 feet above sea level and appeared to interfere with aviation frequencies.

On footage posted on You Tube, an air traffic controller made clear he sought to make contact with the UFO.

The Russian aviation workers are heard in the control tower trying to make contact with the ship.
And:
A radar shows the UFO moving rapidly through the skies while surrounding planes in the air travel much slower.

'I kept hearing some female voice, as if a woman was saying mioaw-mioaw all the time,' he told the pilot of a passing Aeroflot flight.

 The air traffic control monitor automatically designated the UFO as '00000' because it did not have a flight number.

As far as extreme pipe dream scenarios, that would be a cool cool one to be fully realized.  Alien cats!  Life just got awesomely stranger!  If indeed, that were the case..

Report: State Dept Warned Embassy Staff Not to Mention Pentagon’s UFO Concerns I can't wait to see this one.. Excerpts:

According to the site, the cable is dated November 9, 2005 and is connected to the Kiev embassy. It admonishes embassy officials not to discuss “under any circumstances” the military’s policy toward UFOs.

The report also says that the cable specifically mentions Department of Defense “concerns” related to the possibility of UFOs entering orbit and warns officials not to confirm that the US commits resources to the possibility.
And:
The more interesting aspect is that the State Department was so obsessed with secrecy that they actually took time to caution officials not to “confirm” it in off-the-record conversations.

Juicy. In almost any situation, the more one insists a point, the more the others know otherwise. Meanwhile, another whistle blower handed over more data in a very public news conference.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange details of more than 2,000 prominent individuals and companies that he contends engaged in tax evasion and other possible criminal activity.

The bank succeeded, briefly, in gaining a court order to shut down the WikiLeaks.org website. The injunction was subsequently overturned and the case dropped.
The offshore banking industry has come under increasing pressure amid accusations that places like the Caribbean, with looser financial laws, allowed investors to avoid taxes and that some banks helped to create complex webs of companies and trust funds there to confuse tax authorities abroad.

Two, no three,  interesting facets of this story:  UFOs continue to go mainstream in the media, and mention of Dimona, the town associated with Israel's(rather shadowy but not secret) nuclear plant(at Negev).  And the third?  The combination of the first two..  The possibility of a motorized object is downplayed, and the "party balloon" angle is emphasized, so there's more to this story, I'm sure. 


So what's really left to learn:  Will we really ever find out what really happened, and how clever will the cover story be?

When Is An Earthquake Swarm Much More Than An Earthquake Swarm?

Increased geologic activity(in overall magnitude, not in amount of quakes--note the distinction), not only in this region, but worldwide(including volcanoes)..

Man-made tectonic activity. But why would this be? A poster from my favorite conspiracy site (from China, too!) says "There was an article on Veterans Today about the difficulties of a US invasion of Iran and that a possible way in is through the Yemeni port of Gwardar, but it's totally inadequate at the moment.


No worries. Cause a buncha earthquakes on land or out in the seabed to cause a tsunami in the area. Next, shout out, "You poor Yemeni victims! Here, let us help and rebuild! No charge for now, pay later! We'll send the Seabees first, and you won't know the place when we're done!"
