Top Ten Signs You're a Fundamentalist Christian

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."
and
3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

Spare the Rod? Former Missouri House Speaker Accused of Beating and Raping Woman . . . Releases on $2,500 Bond.

Stout Family Values: Georgia Voters Replace Politician In Sex Scandal With Another Family Values Candidate Who Allegedly Had Affair With Mother-in-Law.

The first story is fairly amazing for a couple of reasons. The "Family Values" bullshit that Jetton still peddles is one thing, so that's typical Republican politics, but the bond amount ($2,500 dollars)? Kinda low.. Turley writes, "Remarkably, bond was set at only $2,500. Jetton was required to leave office due to time limits but continues to work as as a powerful political consultant in Jefferson City. I entirely agree with the bond itself but the amount seems wildly out of proportion to the gravity of the crime. I do not like the massive bonds often sought in criminal cases, but this is a bond that would be considered small for an auto theft case."

The other aspect is the deafening silence of the statewide media concerning charges against Jetton. Fired Up Missouri has been consistently covering the story, but most Missouri news sources frame the incident as "rough sex," and some national outlets are calling it "rape." TPM covers it down the middle with this creepy ass quote to end their story: " (It is important to note that Jetton has not yet been charged with rape or sexual assault.)

The part about a rape date drug isn't confirmed yet. But the woman in question seems to think that's what happened. And that's what she suggests in the police report. And Jetton has now been charged with felony assault.

When Jetton left the woman's home the next morning he told her: "You should have said 'green balloons'."

New from Goro!

He's been predicting "The Big One" as earthquake, in the time frame of the Olympic games for more than several weeks now. And it happened! Several weeks is actually very conservative, as he's been highlighting different multi contextual messages pointing to a major quake for many months. His articles are archived. Go back and read them all. And believe..

This Makes Me Feel Better About Myself..

"More intelligent people are significantly more likely to exhibit social values and religious and political preferences that are novel to the human species in evolutionary history. Specifically, liberalism and atheism, and for men (but not women), preference for sexual exclusivity correlate with higher intelligence, a new study finds."

No, I'm not an atheist, but Agnostic beliefs are perceived the same way in today's society. I always find it funny that, after a conversation about my belief in, for example, astrology, some acquaintances will say "So, you don't believe in God?" Quite the contrary! Astrology strengthens the belief I have in a Sophisticated Entity beyond our collective comprehension, as does fractal geometry, the human circulatory system, and synchronicity "coincidence."

It's nice to have an alternate perspective to the puzzled looks I receive sometimes after voicing my opinions: My thoughts are not necessarily crazy, just Novel!

U.S. Refuses To Endorse British Sovereignty In Falklands Oil Dispute (!!!!)

Executive director Alan Mendoza said: 'The Obama administration's decision to ignore the democratic rights of the Falkland islanders is disgraceful. 'It can only be motivated by moral weakness in the White House or a misplaced desire to punish Britain for the Binyam Mohamed case and the disclosure of U.S. intelligence documents.'

'The decision, while feeble, is unsurprising. For the past year, Mr Obama has followed a foreign policy path that punishes allies and democracies while allowing rogue authoritarian nations like Iran and North Korea to pursue their objectives.'

How did I know this guy was a Neocon? He strummed all the right notes.. This columnist Toad did too.. two clues...
1. "We share a belief in liberal democracy, in freedom, and it is largely thanks to our willingness to commit ourselves to the defence of those ideals that the world has not been engulfed by fascism, communism or Islamofascism." (Clue: Whenever you see Islamofacism in a sentence, the speaker is either super-conservative or crazily neocon)

and:

2. "Who does he think will replace us as America’s steadfast ally when she finds herself embroiled in a territorial dispute of her own — possibly with the very same motley crew of Latin American rabble rousers? Spain? Italy? France? Good luck with that, Mr President."

Once again, just look for the codewords to decipher the political orientation..

Maybe, just maybe, President Obama wants no part of the growing, massive, anti-imperialist movement sweeping South and Central America (and Iran!), and can see the writing on the wall: South America will unite against England's last gasp at Empire, it will end badly, and America should stay the fuck out of it, or side with our geographic neighbors as a future foothold to the oil forthcoming. Maybe that's it..

Johnny Depp Comes To The Defense Of The West Memphis Three

"..Johnny Depp is to appear on TV's "48 Hours Mystery" to protest the controversial murder convictions of the West Memphis Three. ..convicted of beating to death three 8-year-old boys in a suspected satanic ritual in 1994 in Arkansas. Baldwin and Misskelley were sentenced to life in prison and Echols to death. All were teens when they were tried and convicted."

Since their convictions, there has been a sizable minority of people calling this a "miscarriage of justice," and who have consistently fought to overturn the verdicts. And then there's this douche bag, who seems to be obsessed with these three men and their judicial guilt, so much so that he's devoted his entire snotty website to them and the failure of their supporters to get another trial. Kind of an electronic "Ha Ha! You're still in jail" continuous insult, complete with updates.. Huh. I wonder what his issue is with these three. It just doesn't seem normal to continuously gloat over status quo convictions the way he does. Too bad, because I really like the header on his site. Very noir..

It seems Venezuela has already chosen sides, and Latin America seems to be headed towards general diplomatic cohesion, so this conflict probably won't be as quick and easy as it was 28 years ago. American Revisionist History, re, WWII

The 5 Most Widely Believed WWII Facts (That Are Bullshit) - From Cracked.com. Every country is guilty of revising their history, and America is no different. Such an uproar several years ago over Japanese revisionist history, and yet, with a little research, it's easy to prove our historians and history guilty of the same omittances and weighted, selective emphasis. And we, as a society are just as ignorant and gullible as anyone else. And our situation may be worse, as our hyper inflated self perception is not only dangerous to the rest of the world, it is unrealistic and ultimately, dangerous to the future of our nation. Not only do we view ourselves as Goliath, but so does the rest of the world. And yet, we forget the end of that story..

The myth of America as Superpower started with WWII, and has been accepted, without question, by our populace, and a great portion of the world. Maybe it's time for a re-think.

Stem Cell Transplant Yields Unintended Success..

Man Appears Free of HIV After Stem Cell Transplant. The transplant which involves intentionally destroying "a patient's immune system, leaving the patient vulnerable to infection, and then reintroduce a donor's stem cells (which are from either bone marrow or blood) in an effort to establish a new, healthy immune system." The patient was being treated for Leukemia, and had a rare form of HIV along with the cancer.

"Before undergoing the transplant, the patient was also found to be infected with low levels of a type of HIV known as X4, which does not use the CCR5 receptor to infect cells. So it would seem that this virus would still be able to grow and damage immune cells in his body. However, following the transplant, signs of leukemia and HIV were absent."

"There is no really conclusive explanation why we didn't observe any rebound of HIV," Hutter said. "This finding is very surprising."

So, almost thirty years into the conventional research of the "AIDS virus" and thirteen years into work on embryonic stem cells, it seems that scientists keep stumbling upon findings they had not anticipated. And that's great, but there might be more to be learned from following the unconventional paths that aren't AMA approved..

Are You Raising a Douchebag?

Well, are you?

I'm Going To Wait A Little While..

Before posting in depth regarding the whole Austin incident. Maybe in a week or so, the facts will begin to emerge with a bit more certainty, but at the moment, there are too many questions and possibilities to process and synthesize to have focus.

I'm curious, though, about several aspects of this story: Will there be copycats? Are there supposed to be copycats? Will there be any credibility to the preliminary stories about those who called/foretold/knew this attack was coming weeks in advance(a number of these types of stories have popped up already, including on Alex Jones)? What else is in the Echelon Building, other than the IRS? Here's one organization.. The Left and the Right are already pointing fingers at each other. More information on Stack will come out that will tip this (imaginary) balance, but where on the political spectrum will it fall("Well, on the plus side, he hates taxes. On the negative side, he's a filthy Communist!)? Now that a white guy has decided to "martyr" himself for our tax and spend sins, will the right wing be as hip to the concept of "racial profiling" now that they may be the race profiled? I'm wondering if the ACLU will have some new, unexpected supporters?

This EQ Can't Seem To Make Up Its Mind..

First, it's a 6.7 in the Russia-China-North Korea(!) region..

Then the EQ is revised UPWARD! This never happens.

Centered here, or 70 miles southwest of Vladivostok (Home of the Russian Pacific Fleet), and look how close it is to China and NK!

And now, a new revision of magnitude.. And location.. But not by much..

Now, initial readings are usually revised, but almost always downward, the quake was unusually deep (349.5 miles--the quake in Haiti was only 7 miles deep), and the location was changed. And it happened in the Russian/China/North Korea region. Huh. Three anomalous occurrences, all in a highly charged location. Again, huh..

Great News!

Nevada Tea Party Bolts the GOP and Glenn Beck. What will hopefully become more apparent is the very real division between the real Tea Party (Libertarians who've been grassroots organizing since 2007), and the faux Tea Party (Corporate sponsored and Republican re-integrated since January 20th, 2009) in the months leading up til midterm elections. The whole premise was limited government and fiscal responsibility, not this insane racist bullshit dressed up as "patriotism."

Will the fiscally responsible adults that follow Ron Paul make the break away from the Beckbots? The only way the Tea Party will ever be taken seriously is if it concentrates solely on financial issues deeply and immediately relevant to all of us, not accusations of socialism(or fascism, or communism - no they're not the same, hence different names for each), fake birth certificates, or skin color.

Doug Fieger, R.I.P.

Lead singer of one of the greatest "Two hit wonder bands"ever died today. If you've only recently awoken from a 32 year long coma, here are the videos for "My Sharona" and "Good Girls Don't." If you were too young to be aware of The Knack in '79, you don't really have any frame of reference as to how Cool they were, and how massive their surrounding phenomena was. Before MP3's, before CD's(yeah, Youngbloods, there was a time before CD's), before MTV, before musical format fragmentation, Top 40 music was King, and if the radio was on in 1979, chances were good that the song coming from the speakers was "My Sharona."

Those relentless drums, that hypnotic bass line, the snotty, vaguely dangerous, I'm-gonna-fuck-you-girl-and-ain't nothin's-gonna-stop-me delivery by Doug Fieger.. Edgy enough to appeal to the Rockers, poppy enough for the masses (including wannabe-hipster parents), embracing New Wave/Power Pop energy at just that right time in musical history.. How could this song not be a monster hit? At the beginning of the 80's, The Knack looked like they would be the one of the biggest bands of the 80's. They drew comparisons to the Beatles(really for the way they looked, not their music), and the hype was huge, but so was the backlash (I forgot about "Nuke The Knack."). When their second, horrible album was released, it still sold two million copies, but with the exception of one minor hit (the awful "Baby Talks Dirty"), the band was done, their humiliating and indifferent decline as rapid as their explosive impact arrival had been two years before.

Doug Fieger was The Knack. He never achieved the success of "My Sharona" ever again, but the song did experience a resurgence in popularity through the movie "Reality Bites." And while The Knack's hits will never be confused with High Art, "My Sharona" still strums that timeless chord in a lot of people, not only conjuring up memories from their child or young adulthood, but, because there were no trendy synthesizers or dated gimmicks involved, the music stands apart from a set time, and just falls wherever the listener sets it. It's naughty, it's hyper, it's a great song to dance to in a crowd or in a frenzy all by yourself. It is Intangible, but damn it, "My Sharona" is still a great fuckin' song. And although, Doug Fieger did not give us much more than this one great song, he gave me and many, many people an anthem we will never forget.

Japan Earthquake/EQ Roundup - February, First Week

Inital reports of 6.6, downgraded to 6.4. The quake happened around Midnight, CST(06:10 UTC). The trend here is, that for the first week of February, there have been four 6.0 magnitude earthquakes or larger, and one each day the last three days. There have been fifteen earthquakes magnitude 5.0 to 5.9.

Most of these quakes were within the "Ring of Fire," which is prepetually active, and the only aspect of note to those quakes is the escalated intensity of 6.0 quakes. The two areas outside the "Ring" to monitor is Yellowstone, which experienced a pretty intense "Earthquake swarm" last week, and this one, near Cumbre Vieja. And Cumbre Vieja is one area that, hopefully, will remain still for a loooonng time, lest this happens..

Obama's Continuing 'Terror War' Policies, Failure to Deal with Torturers Raise Growing Concerns

This has been bothering me, too. I want to like Obama, but not only is there very little difference in his actual governance compared to Bush, militarily he's doubling the amount of troops (plus contractors!) in Afghanistan. Some hippie peacenik, eh? Who's in charge of the economy? Club Federal Reserve and Goldman Sachs. Further expansion of the Military Industrial Complex? Check.

The Canning (first linked article) quote from Chris Hedges is fitting: "President Obama does one thing and brand Obama gets you to believe another. This is the essence of successful advertising. You buy or do what the advertiser wants because of how they make you feel." Obama the Brand I really like: The President and his policies? Not so much.

What bothers me about this turn of political events is the perception of what's happening versus reality. The right wing noisemakers hammer on Obama for his "Socialist" leanings, when in actuality, he supports most of the same programs and same corporations they do. You'd think they'd be happy about his closet Republicanism, but that would be off script, wouldn't it? At least Bush and his gang of thugs were honest about their intentions. They didn't mind telling the rest of the country(and the world) to fuck off on a regular basis while taking what they wanted for themselves, their friends, and their cronies. Obama pays lip service to the coalition that brought him to power, yet continues to act just like Bush.

The outcome? Fox and the Right wing loonies will continue to howl(while getting what they want policy-wise, while the country continues its swing to the right--shrewd!!), Democrats and progressives will continue to be frustrated(and probably won't turn out for the mid term elections), abandon the party, and suffer a massive defeat in November, and still, nothing gets fixed. The Republicans win, the Teabaggers will be energized, the American corporate power structure will gain incredible strength(already has--thank you SCOTUS), and the rest of us remain screwed, having backed the wrong candidate from a field of wrong candidates.

Too Doped Up To Say Shit..

I know I'm not alone in thinking this, and I've seen this addressed before, but Xymphora sums it as well as anyone.. How many days since 2001 have I thought, "Am I the only one seeing this? Why aren't there outraged mobs permanently protesting almost everything? Turns out, most everybody's too fucked up to care, and those that aren't are experiencing the "second hand smoke" effect of "pharma water." And, I'm sure that if they could, wildlife would tell us to Knock It Off, as it's fucking with them, too.

So while I understand the whole "Teabag" movement as having some legitimate concerns (but still not seeing the Whole Big Picture that those they support now Created The Problem then), I doubt they'll be able (under current circumstances) to focus, organize, and field unified opposition to what they perceive dangerous for this exact same reason. At the end of the day, they won't jeopardize their material comforts, and they won't jeopardize the surety of their legal high in trade for the political and societal Unknown serious protest might bring. And they too, are scratching their heads, wondering if anyone else is paying attention to what they're seeing..

Mars Retrograde Triseptile Jupiter in Pisces - The Dream Time Begins, Preparing Us For Interlocking Yods, or Fingers of God

From Aquarius Papers. What I like about Wilkinson's astrology is the various astrological combinations happening at the moment are laid out both technically (for those interested) and plainly, for those who just want the "jist." These energies, though, are societal, affecting everyone, not the Sun Sign crap you get in the newspaper. His work is involved, intuitive, and amazingly well written.

Example from his latest entry: "This is a crucial turning point in choices that will shape our destiny over the next five months. Though we're enduring 'traffic jams,' ultimately this is making our life a work of art through the emotional intensity we're dealing with."

.."While there will be 'forced adjustments,' many of these will help us master discouragement, get what we need, and find a new sense of permanence or a new dedication to some collective ideal or standards. This is a time when we can demonstrate our ability to express our form of 'higher power,' as well as add to our lives through renewed commitments."

For simultaneously exposing an potential new drug abuse problem, and magnifying said problem by about a million.. Did you gasp involuntarily the first time you saw the promos for "'Intervention's' Special Report - Huffing?" I could visualize the eyes of little waste-oids around the country lighting up when the phrase "A dollar a can" was spoken. The major misconception is that what is being huffed is "Air," when it is actually freon. One time is all that mistake needs to kill you.

I know, I know, Huffing is now a problem, but exposing it should be balanced against the awareness that national television brings. How do we, as a free society, provide knowledge and treatment for drug abuse problems like this one without overly glamorizing the high or the accessibility?

This isn't weed, it isn't alcohol, it isn't even cocaine or LSD. It's freon, and it's deadly and it's cheap and it's oh-so in-style right now. Don't kid yourself--it's a problem that's about to become a Major Problem.

It's all too much. More originality, please, and less (Remix) anything..

This one probably thinks divorce is a sin, so "anything" she does to prevent it is OK.. Wow, is this really 2010? Bad Grandma! Bad! Bad!

The Haiti quake likely killed more Americans than 9/11..

Afghanistan, or Iraq. So why didn't Fox cover the disaster more? Related story here. Some other story much been more important than 250 to 500 thousand people losing their lives..

Or maybe it's because a lot of those up-to-5,500 Americans killed in Haiti don't.. "look like us.."

I'm sure it's just a hoax, or they were all painting lens flare, or swamp gas. Or maybe they were all ancient weather balloons.. Thanks to whoever put this together, as the evidence is a lot more compelling presented in this fashion..

He is still gay, and she is still in SERIOUS denial..

But I feel bad for them anyway.. This is how certain forms of "Christianity" fuck people up. He could never just live his life, and she could never admit the implications, as their entire lives would have to come under self-scrutiny. The initial hyporicsy angle was awesome, but their continued avoidance of the core issue is really sad. Reprogramming doesn't work, and another "situation" (Like this one) will occur.. And their cycle will repeat..

Did an 8.6 Earthquake just happen in China, or is this a co-ordinated internet hoax?

Courtesy of Above Top Secret, but this has been floating around several overlapping websites this evening. Nothing, NOTHING so far on USGS, or CNN, or any other mainstream news sites. So, what happened?

Maybe this is nothing. We'll know for sure in the coming days.

UPDATE: There is no update. The location of this.. event.. was mountainous and remote, but remote by Chinese standards would still be populated. What caused multiple sites to register this event as an 8.6 EQ, and then it not be so? Huh..

Racist AND Boring? Sweet..

New Pro Basketball League is for whites only.

Hilarious quote:

"Lewis denies that he's a racist but he wants to get away from 'street ball' played by 'people of color' that dominate the NBA. 'Would you want to go to the game and worry about a player flipping you off or attacking you in the stands or grabbing their crotch?' He said.

Who is Benjamin Fulford?

Fulford's been on the conspiracy scene for some time now, chronicling some kind of back-channel universe of higher than Presidential security clearances, Asian secret societies, Mafia and Vatican co-operation, and factions of the U.S. Government and Rothchilds, all pitted against the financial thugs currently in world control, all locked in a cyber/financial global conflict. His latest post is a pretty good example and summation of who's who in his universe, and what's what. Is he a 21st century Eric Sevareid, or some deluded child of priviledge with an overactive imagination and access to the internet?

Fulford's website here. January 10th post is very interesting: Where is Henry Kissenger?

Extra credit research: Who is Leo Wanta? Or here.. Or here.. Or here?

We live in interesting times, my friends..
